This equipment (AWP or MEWP) is an essential tool in the construction and maintenance industry. “Type 3A” is one of MEWP’s four categories, which refers to self-propelled vertical lift platforms that can be operated on flat, firm surfaces. They are extremely useful and clean for working in inaccessible or unprofitable areas, through unsafe ladders or bulky scaffolding, and useful for high ceilings indoors, electricity poles and facades in building structures. The 3A platform lift is a popular choice due to its versatility, maneuverability, and efficiency.

MEWP 3A has several safety features to ensure operators can work safely and efficiently. These features include safety control systems, stabilizers to keep the platform level on uneven terrain, and a height limiter that ensures the platform doesn’t rise too high. If it starts to lose the levelling, it stops but enables you to descend, allowing you to relocate the machine to a safe place and then try again.

In addition to its safety, the MEWP 3A is also very easy to operate. The platform features a handy control panel that allows operators to control the height and movement of the platform with ease. The most common height reach capability of these 3A platforms is 12 meters, but on the market, it can be found up to more than 30 meters, making them ideal for work in tall buildings or hard-to-reach areas.

Another advantage of the 3A tail lift is its ability to travel in different terrains and conditions. Among the various alternatives, we can also select different types of wheels, including solid white that do not leave marks on the floors or off-road with four-wheel drive systems. The MEWP 3A can easily move on uneven terrain and up to 25% slopes. This makes the platform an excellent choice for indoor and outdoor work and rough terrain.

Therefore, we have to consider that being one of the most used MEWP, knowing their safe handling and its corresponding certificate gives us extra value beyond the experience we already have or, likewise, if we do not have experience with the management of the platforms.
